Eveline Pierre Biography
Ms. Eveline Pierre is a graduate from the prestigious Howard University. Ms. Pierre earned her Bachelors degree in Political Science with a minor in History focusing on Latin America and the Caribbean. While in Washington, DC, she worked with the US Department of Justice for two years, which exposed her to federal procurement strategies, private contractor regulations and fiscal management at the federal level.

Ms. Pierre then moved to Los Angeles, California where she immersed herself in the arts and entertainment industry gaining valuable experience in networking and management while working at Creative Artist Agency (CAA) music department, and then at Music Television (MTV) doing rights and clearances, production assistant for BIORHYTM, and After six years in Los Angeles, Ms. Pierre moved back to Miami, Florida. She worked for Music Fest Miami, an organization that focused on tolerance and education of different cultures through music. As the Caribbean Market Liaison, Ms. Pierre managed local artists’ participation.

Ms. Pierre’s experiences lead her back to politics again, working as a special aide to the Mayor of the City of Miami, Manuel Diaz. Ms. Pierre had the opportunity to help start up the Festival, Films, Arts, Culture and Entertainment (FACE) department. During her time there, Ms. Pierre worked closely with many of the City of Miami Departments Neighborhood Enhancement Teams (NET), MLK Revitalization Reclaim the Dream Committee, Heart of our Parks Music Summer Series, Youth AIDS Walk, Latin Grammy’s, Source Awards, Haitian Music Entertainment Awards, Compa Fest and the Mardi Gras.

Currently, Ms. Pierre is the Executive Director/Founder of the Haitian Heritage Museum in which her primary focus is “to create a legacy for the future generation while educating the world about many contributions by the Haitian people.” Under Ms. Pierre guidance, HHM has created programs such as Ayiti Exposé (Haiti Expose) where a team of Haitian American artists go into the Miami Dade public schools to teach the students about the Haitian culture. In addition, Ms. Pierre has implemented a series of educational and cultural performances for adults, children/families by collaborating with a cadre of artists (poets, storytellers and visual artist) in Miami Dade County to celebrate The Month of May, a nationally dedicated period in which special programming is conducted for and on behalf of the Haitian Communities in the U.S.

Ms. Pierre’s affiliates are with Howard University Alumni, Coalition for Haitian Rights, Haitian American Leadership Council, Leadership Miami 2004-2005, member of Women’s Fund of Miami Dade County, Advisory Council Member of World Refugee Day, Art Basel Jr. Committee Member 2006-present, Adrienne Arsht Performing Arts Center Green Room Society Member, Member of Florida Association of Museums and member of the Museum Magnet Advisory Council.
