The Haitian Heritage Museum in partnership with the Smithsonian Institution Traveling exhibition and Lemelson Center for study of Invention and Innovation and the United States Patent and Trademark Office and is sponsored by Lyda Hill Philanthropies IF/THEN Initiative and Ericsson bring to you Picturing Women Inventors a free poster exhibition. Picturing Women Inventors is a series of eight posters that explores the inventions of 19 highly accomplished American women. Astronauts, computer pioneers, and businesswomen join athletes, engineers, and even teenagers in this remarkable group of inventors.

The stories on the posters illustrates that the creativity of women inventors ranges across diverse backgrounds and interests throughout American history. Ideal for classrooms or other learning environments, the posters exhibition also comes with curriculum material developed by Smithsonain educators at the Lemelson Center for the Study of Invention and Innovation.
